Could it be possible to Use Apple Car Play on iPad? Adam Bell says yes!
Apple’s CarPlay on iPad
A developer is in the process of making it possible to run Apple’s CarPlay directly on its iOS device – all without the need for a unique system in the car.
The developer Adam Bell is currently working on a project in which he tries to run Apple’s Car Play technology directly on iPad instead of the car’s system, which is otherwise intended.
The project is still in its infancy stage. It runs, but far from flawless.
The idea is otherwise good enough. For the moment, CarPlay can only work with a few cars that are either gaining support or via third-party manufacturers like Pioneer. With Bells solution, all iPads as well as iPhones could run CarPlay directly. This project will make it accessible to all, and free if you have an iPad already.
Because Apple does not allow this kind of apps, it requires that you have jailbroken their device if you want to be in the game. Bell promises that the project is open source and free and that he will soon come up with additional info.
