iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus: Disadvantages and Complaints

The iPhone 6 does not seem such a big success as was hoped. Unfortunately, shortly after the release date we heart too many complaints about the iPhone 6. The most common complaints are that the iPhone 6 plus bends very fast, and that your head or beard hair gets stuck between the aluminum and the glass.

The iPhone has been one of the most popular smartphones but the iPhone 6 is not welcomed as others. Perhaps Apple itself overshot the “the thinner the better” trend. Too thin smartphones seem to be vulnerable as the iPhone 6 plus appears to be bended easily.

#hairgate, #beardgate, #bendgate

Shortly after the iPhone 6 has found its way to the public, rain of complaints began. At the beginning most of the complains were about bending problem of iphone 6 plus. The iPhone 6 plus is thin and some parts are made of aluminum which makes it weak against hits and bending. On Twitter, the hashtag #bendgate is used for that problem. Then in a short time more and more complaints began related with the gap between the parts which causes hair stuck. Not only people with long hair, but men with beards or long sideburns suffer from it. On Twitter, the hashtag #hairgate is used for that problem. When it comes to facial hair, there are complaints on Twitter with the hashtag #beardgate.

Especially iPhone 6 Plus devices are at the center of complains. The model is larger than the iPhone 6, and thus bends faster in your pocket. The problem occurs when you sit down with tight pants. Shortly after the sale of the first iphone 6 Plus, Apple defended itself that they had not received that much complaints. However, that seems a weak argument, because the smartphone was very new on the market and the number of complaints about iPhone 6 Plus would be misleading. The mere fact is that the iPhone 6 plus bend in a tight pocket and that really is a bad thing. A smartphone must, of course, should not bend in your pocket. The main problem is that concept of producing bigger and thinner smaartphones. Sooner or later that concept will cause unstability and the companies will have to stop at a certain point.

Test results showed that the normal iPhone 6 yet bends faster than the iPhone 6 Plus (this is the larger version), ie at a pressure of about 32 pounds. The iPhone 6 Plus bends at a pressure of about 40 pounds. Why do people just complaining about warped iPhone 6 Plus devices, probably because the larger version occupies more space in your pocket, so there is a rapidly more pressure is exerted on the device when you sit down. The iPhone 6 Plus is not only longer but also thinner than the regular iPhone 6 smartphone which makes it more sensible. Incidentally, this is not the only brand that bends. The HTC One M8 also bends faster than average. This smartphone has also a unibody enclosure that is thin and made primarily of aluminum. The best of the bending test came for the Samsung Galaxi Note 3, which can tolerate more than twice the pressure of the iPhone 6 and the HTC One M8.

Conclusion flexibility iPhone 6

Smartphones are now can be called as small tablets and handhelds. While they are getting thinner, they lose from the part of the quality and solidity. The iPhone 6 is a nice smartphone, but more vulnerable than most other smartphones.

Apple’s iOS8 problems

There are also problems reported with the iOS 8 operating system of Apple. First about the mobile connection, then transfer the fingerprint scanner and then over faulty bluetooth connection. The bluetooth connection would be unstable and often do not come about. The complaint has been reported mainly in connection with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and all Apple devices with iOS 8 and up. An example for the complaints that are reported:

• When the iPhone is connected to a car kit connection is lost, such as when listening to music or answering calls.

Apple released this update iOS8 2 from which these problems appear to be resolved.
