Note-7 problems to be solved this year
Samsung hopes shortly to clarify why the batteries in the Galaxy Note 7 have tended to overheat and in some cases explode.
Not all units have the same problems, but Samsung is working hard to find the reason for why the note 7 smartphones are overheated or exploded.Samsung managed to get 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 devices back from the market.
Samsung expects to find the cause of Note 7-problems within this year. That was the message at least when Samsung Thursday presented its latest accounts.
Samsung Electronics and sister company Samsung SDI, which has produced some of the batteries, expects to present the results of the extensive research according to Reuters.com.
The research is mainly about 60 percent of the batteries that are supplied by Samsung SDI.
The problem is limited to Note 7 and does not affect other phones in Samsung’s range.
So named Note 7 catastrophe referred to the largest recall of consumer electronics in history. All 2.5 million delivered and sold phones are called back by Samsung.
Samsung’s engineers are still working hard to identify the the cause of Note 7 explosions.
