Fidelio M2L Philips Headphones
Philips will soon start selling headphones for the iPhone that exploits the digital signal from lightning port.
In June, Apple enabled headphone manufacturers to use the iPhone’s lightning connector instead of the traditional jack. Philips has now presented one of the first products utilizing this.
These are the headphones “Fidelio M2L”, scheduled for sale later this year. The headphones are digital and have built-in DAC converts the 24 bit signal coming from lightning port. It should result in better sound quality compared to the normal analog signal.
